I had never had or driven in a L with an aftermarket torque converter, So I had the same questions. I thought drivability would suffer but all I can say is the P.I. 3 disc 2400 speed T.Q. drives normal and feels great .It was also worth 2 tenths and a 1.59 60 ft.
Expensive ,but for me worth it.
