Dyno numbers???

Hi all, I finally had a chance to get my truck on a dyno today and was a little dissapointed, the best #'s I could get was 357/463 at the wheels. I think I've seen better on this site with just a chip. I wonder, do most you guys list in your sigs' HP at the crank or at the wheels? I have PSP chip, filter and #3 pulley. What gives?? Any info would be great. Thanks

yea what was your AF at 54/5500 rpm? sounds like you are either running very rich or something is not right. you should be pulling more than those #s with a 3 lber.

For a 99, those numbers are not at all bad. Remember, stock 99/00s usually dyno about 315/415. So you've gained about 40 hp and 50 ftlbs at the wheels. Now if you got a/f readings with your dyno, send them to me and we'll see if we can adjust it more. But the numbers aren't anything to be ashamed of.

They didn't have the a/f meter hooked up when I was there but based on the amount of black smoke it belched out at 100 mph I'd say it's pretty rich. I'm going next sat. when they have a dyno-day deal and I'll get the a/f readings then .. Thanx, Scott

There are all kinds of factors that could affect your dyno numbers....First, what kind of dyno was it?? What were the weather conditions during the pulls??? Did you run the truck hot or cold on the dyno?? Are those your only mods?? Your tune might be very conservative for cold weather...And also very importantly tell us what your air/fuel ratios were, if you had that measured...Also was that the "Actual" power that the truck just made or were those numbers "corrected" on the Standard scale or Sae scale...The numbers in my sig were at the rear wheels, and on the Standard scale....

Awesome. If you can Scott, bring a floppy with you, and get them to give you the pulls on disc. Then just e-mail me the files. I'll check them out and we'll see what we can tweak.

Mod's are.....

Chip, filter,e-fan, cobra pump,F/T valve body,breater cap,TR-6's
boost bypass, #3 pulley. all I'm missing is the 90mm MAF.
Don't get me wrong my truck runs great and strong.. based on the #'s that I see in this forum I thought they'd be alittle higher.
Oh well time for some more STUFF.Also I had no idea stock 99/00
pulled only 315/415.

I know you are only kidding. I just posted the #s to give you a base line.
I am not going to contridict Sal but 315 seemed awfully low to me.For an 01 to have 45 more rwhp seems like a lot. I know there is a lot of variables when dynoing but I think once Sal gets your file your #s will be going up.

Stock 99-00s range from 310-320 on the average. Stock 01-02s range from 340-360 on the average. There is nothing odd about his numbers.
