I ran 150 shot dry on my 99 and never had a problem. What
FLYING **** said is right it's intake design. Some of the IHRA
Pro Mod cars run a dry systems, but the ones I know like
Tommy Mauney / Gene Fulton run wet systems. A wet fogger
is the way to GO And I will run 2 systems when I set up my 02
for it.

THE SPRAY RULES!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome info guys, AND PICTURE easterisland
THANK YOU VERY MUCH, you answered some great questions and concerns I have. I've read about the puddling with gas and didn't like what I read either. I used a wet system on my old Kawi Proto-Type Z-1 Bike and it worked out fine. I use to even hit the button with the tank closed and inject raw gas into all four Carbs for a quick fix when I was running ***** out. However on my last Big Block Chevelle I went with the Dry Plate System and again had great results. Ran it two years without ever having a problem, then sold the Car.

I found both wet and dry systems for @$500.00 so money isn't the issue, but this ZEX dry system really really really caught my eye. It's everything YOU DON'T WANT in a System. Easy 1 2 3 installation, no exposed solenoids, no linkage to hook to the throttle body or pedal, no switch or button, it's all based on the IAC voltage, and it's fully interactive with the fuel system ensuring perfect spraying that’s not too rich "and not too lean"
It truly sounds like the perfect system for someone like me, who may only use it 5 or 10 times a year.

It's gonna be hard for me NOT to pick this System, even know I know Wet it better. But for the good of my motor, I'm gonna do a little more reading before ordering it. MAYBE YOU GUYS TALKED SOME SENSE INTO ME AFTER ALL

If it works anything like the Venom system, stay the hell away.. Seriously. Talk to Sal. He is a juice wizard and can hook you up with something safe. The more safety you install with the No2 the more less likely something will happen. Once your arm the system and floor it, theres no turning back. If you dont have a Fuel Pressure Gauge, invest in one of those too.

John,
Your right I should be able to get my 11 without Juice and still plan to. And I've been tossing up the Pro's and Con's of getting a new blower or Juice, I need to face the facts here, there is only so much HP we can put to the ground on the street. Right now I can't touch my peddle without roasting my tires, a 69 VW Beetle could take me off the line. If I went with a Blower what will that TRULY do for me on the street ???? Make it that much more impossible to launch, Make me go even faster than 150MPH ??? What advantage would I have by getting one. And what are we talking about here "50 HP lets say" Ya thats alot, a hell of a lot, "BUT" I can get 3 times that for $500.00 and still be able to have the normal drivability of my L. With the Juice all you have to do is regulate that lack of traction by your Foot and the Floor Board, once your hooked, you touch the floor board and WAM 75-150 EXTRA HP. If you back off slightly or hit the master switch you get your traction back.

For the few times a year I'll need that extra HP,
I now feel Juice is my answer.

Cool

I also am maybe considering the nitrous route. There are several things I want to do but can't decide: New coil packs....1LB upper pulley...and a heat exchanger. Or.......new coil packs, heat exchanger and a 50 shot of nitrous. Last but not least.......Built motor, new heads with cams and a kenne bell or works blower. Seeing as how my first thought is the cheapest and probably the safest I may do that and see how things go from there. Any thought fellas>??? -Mat-

Rob,

I was in the same boat you are in. What to do was the question?
I choose the NX wet kit not to long ago. I still have not tested it do to the weather but I hope I can dip in the low 12s or high 11s this year. Good Luck

Nitrous is the way to go if you're looking for cheap safe HP. I am running the NX kit and am currently running the 75hp shot. This kit puts 75hp to the rear wheels for $800.00. Now that is cheap especially when compared to a new blower at 3,000-3,500 bucks. Plus I am running this on the factory motor with a 3# lower with ZERO problems. I have zero driveability problems and since I am only running a 3# lower pulley I am not putting a big strain on the motor while driving around town but when I go to the track I can just run the nitrous and add the 75rwhp when I choose. It was a simple decison for me. Plus with the addition of the purge, the looks on the street are priceless!

Zex N2O Kits

I too like the Zex kit for its clean looks and three wire install. I sold these for two years with no problems. They are coming out with a wet kit for newer autos because the new cars 99 and up do not have a return fuel line does the Lightning? If not then the dry kit will not work it uses the fuel pressure regulator to up the fuel pressure when your spraying. The new wet kit looks just like the dry kit but has one extra hook up for the fuel line. This may be the way to go the last time I called them they had all the pieces for the kit they just had to be put together. The Zex kit is much much better than the Venom kit Venom ECU controler has one wire for every injector to pulse them longer to give the added fuel you need but have a bad rep on not working correctly due to maybe a bad connection then you have one or more Injectors pulsing like there is not N2O being used and guess what happends BOOM!!!! Not good.I'd go with the Zex wet kit when it comes out if it is not out already.Hope this helps.
