It could be electrical or it could be fuel related. Unfortunately if all the fuses check out ok and it seems to be pumping gas, your best bet would be to have it towed to the dealer and get it fixed under warranty. Hopefully you have towing on your insurance policy and it won't cost you a dime. Breakdowns can be frustrating, but every car manufacturer has them, even Mercedes. Good luck.

Engine rotates but won't start:

1. Fuel tank empty.
2. If it turns slowly--battery discharged.
3. Fuel not reaching injectors--clogged filter or lines defective or defective pump.
4. Water in fuel.
5. Defective ign. coils.
6. Wet ignition components.
7. Defective MAF sensor(you have a K&N air filter--may be oil on the sensor?).

????

It's probably the simplest thing being overlooked.....Try putting your key to the "on" postition and see if you can hear the fuel pump running.....don't start...just put it on the "on" position....

sounds like a small motor running....turn the key on and go back to your gastank, you should be able to hear something....if not, your fuel pump is not working....could be a fuse...could be the fuel cutoff switch....could be anything....let me know what you find out....

Yeah, you should here a low hum with the ignition on. Some vehicles' fuel pumps are louder than others, but you should definitely hear it and possibly feel a little vibration.

well when i turn it to on, i hear nothing, i walked to the back, and heard nothing, i checked the fuse, fuse #10 fuel pump 20a, and it is not blown, it looks good, and i've also reset the fuel cutoff switch, so i think it's the fuel pump, but not the fuse, so how else could this be fixed.

ok....sounds like we may have found the source of the problem....if i were you, i would check for the wiring on the fuel pump and see if there is any connections loose....i'm sure the pump is on the inside of tank, so chances are you are not going to find much other than the ground wire...but check that also....if you can't find anything, i guess call the dealer and have them pick up the truck and replace your pump....

just to let you know in case this happened to you....i had an internal fuel pump and it went out because the damn gas got low...dealer said the gas acts as coolant on the pump, and since i let the gas get low...it caused the fuel pump to overheat and burn up....just so you know...but i would call that roadside assistance number and have them take it to the dealer to have it looked at...wish i could do more to help man....fuel pumps are a pain in the A$$....and man, it can happen to any vehicle...so don't hurt your Lightning....LOL

BTW
If you hold the pedal down while trying to start, the computer cuts the fuel. So don't do that.

yeah, theres no pressure either, on the thing on the fuel rail either....... ok, let me try to get it to work.....

and when i got done checking fuses and i reconnected the battery i tryed starting it again, and my RPM redlined, and my MPH went to 140mph....... maybe it was just the computer reseting?

Sounds to me like your PATS freaked out and disabled your fuel pump.

Does the PATS light (I think it says "Theft") come on when you're trying to start it?

If it does, you're probably F'ed until the dealer can fix it.
