Question Question for those with 20"s!!

For those running 20" wheels, what size and brand of tires are you guys running??

If you don't mind, add some "goods" and "bads" about the ones you use or don't use.

I might be getting my L a little present in a few days, and I want to make sure it has the right shoes to go with the fancy socks.

Sorry if that joke sucked. Ha,ha,ha...

Thanks everyone!!

the dunlop SP9000's are what most people run. I do and there good tires, ***** in the winter though.

thats the most popular 20 inch tire with the L's. 295/40/20

You could try the 275/45/20 goodyear eagle GTII that comes on the Harley. They are pretty cheap and decent grip.
I think you can get them for like 140 or so.

There's a guy in HALO that has them on his truck. If you want, i'll hunt down his email for you. He said they launch pretty well compared to the F1s he had previously.

315/35/20-rear
275/40/20-front

Both are the exact same diameter AND very very close to the stock wheel diameter..

Rick

I have the "Harley Goodyears" and they are OK. Just do not like the tread pattern. Cost me $150 each @ Discount Tire on IH35. Have them on 20x10 BC Smoothie IIs. Oh, by the way I am in far south Austin.

Whatever tire you choose. 295/40/20 is the best looking size in my opinion.

I got Dunlop SP 9000 295/40-20.

They suck. No grip at all. I tried them out on an autocross course to compare with the F1s. Switching back to the F1s on the same day and the same course gained me three seconds on the first lap out.

It's not just that they have no grip. The bigger problem is that they do not feel predictable at the limit. Putting the F1's on subjectively increased driving "feel" 100%.

I can't wait to wear them out.

Goodyear HP Ultra Plus 295/40/20

Decent grip and tread wear, not the best but very very good bang for the buck.

I have the Goodyear GTII's and they are working very well... I have a Silver 2000 L with the stock wheels in 20 inch and with the GTII's they look really good I think... Hope this helps...

Goodyear GT IIs here as well. Great tire for the price and warranty!

Make me an offer. They don't even have 500 miles on them.

i heard that Kumho V700's are good, i use them on the stang and there good, but i heard that the ones for the truck have low tread life, but they are good and there $200 for the 295/40/20's and i heard that the Toyo Proxies are good, but you are basically paying for the "name"
