Question OBDII Scan tool

Hey guys,

I just picked up a Snap-on Micro Scan- scan tool. Just wondering if this thing is worth $600 dollars?

The Snap-on guy said that it will do everything that I want. Scan for codes and tell me what they are.....

Does anyone have one of these?
Is it any good? Or should I send it back?

Any advice would be great!!!

I doubt that it is worth $600, since I just got my dad the "new version" (model 1705) Superchips Micro Tuner. It is for a Powerstroke Diesel, but it has a built in code reader that will work in any '96 up Ford. We used it to check the codes in my uncles Explorer (Banks 1 and 2 were running lean) and then reset the codes/light. I got it for $320 delivered. The tuning part wouldn't work on an L, but the code reader portion would, and it's half the price of the Snap-On unit.
