Any other Lightning folks own.......

An Audi A8 ?

I've been toying with the idea of getting one.

I know they are great performance-wise...just wondering if anyone who may have one like it / dislikes it...

and reasons for for their likes and/or dislikes.

Audi has just redone the A8, I saw it at NAIAS (a/k/a Detroit Auto Show). Check the insurance rates, I've heard they're way high because of the extensive use of aluminum.

The HOT new A6 is the RS6. Me want! I heard the last one was the most stolen per vehicle made that anyone can remember.

I guess it depends on what you have to spend. Before I bought the L I toyed with getting an S4. You might find a used one in the price range of a new L. Twin turbo awd, they pull like crazy. Its a 6 speed and is a sedan, so it comfortably seats 5. They run low 14s stock, but there isnt alot that can be done without going crazy. ECU, downpipes, exhaust...thats about it unless you wanna upgrade the turbos. Sweet ride IMO.

Yeah - I saw the new A8 at the auto show (same as the upcoming VW Paethon) (which also happens to be the underpinnings for the new gen. Bently Contential Coupe...however that Bently will be getting a twin turbo V12)

I'm not all that jazzed with the upcoming one. As far as speed etc. I've got the L for that. I'm looking for a nice Lux Sedan.

Thinking about the Lexus LS430 and the E500 Mercedes.

I drove the Q45 Infiniti....yuck. Cheap interior.

The new 745BMW has got to be one of the ugliest cars I have ever seen....

So it's looking like those three...my friend tells me to save some bucks and get the Caddy DTS Deville.

I like the looks of the CTS (this summer with 400hp engine...) but it is a bit small.

Go get a 530i or 330i. Both great cars. The 530 is around 42-44 where as the 330 is 32-34.

The 330 in my garage cost a bunch more than 32-34. Might get a 325 for that.

Look at the BMW 540 or if you wallet is deep the new S600 Benz is sweet. Went for a ride in one just the other day.

AMG

Go MB/AMG all the way. E55 if your wallet is deep, C32 if not...
