OK, one of the first Ford's I drove was a new '58
Country Squire wagon (My dad's) ... It had a
"Police Interceptor" engine in it and I think it
was like a 390 or 427. Anyone remember that
particular engine??? It was REALLY fast ...

I'd be willing to bet it was either a 312 Y block, or a 352 FE. And I'm not sure if the 352 was even out yet in 58.

 

It was the Y-block 292/312

there was even a Paxton Supercharger option for the 312
