Well.. heres the story. I was very excited about my custom chroming. The entire wheel, inside and outside where to be double triple plated. Dropped off Dec 8th and was given a 18 day turnout.. No problem. 25 days later, i get a call, my wheels are done.

Go down there and low and behold, the chrome was flaking on the inside barrel and they missed spots between the spokes.

Im a pretty laid back guy, so i say, no biggie, take your time and call me when they are finished again. I figured, they would be sure to quality control the wheels before my next pickup.. Or so you would think.

Middle Jan and i call them for a status. They cannot get the chrome to stick on the inside barrel. Interesting.. They want to try some other processes. I say no prob, give it a shot.. Welp, the process didnt work, so they offered to polish my inside barrel. Hey, that would look cool. Unfortunately, looked like they ran a grinder inside and forgot the polishing step. I have no adopted some DINGS and spotted chrome. Im sooooo dissatisfied im taking them back, stripping them and going else where.

In the meantime, im quite embarrased to go out and take close ups, especially of the inside barrel. Maybe ill wait until lunch if anyone is interested.

Thats a bummer I origionally posted while there was just the pics.

You must have been typing at the same time as me.

That sucks about the poor quality, I hope everything works out for you. I know what it is like to pay a lot of money and get shabby work done.

Good luck

Don

I was following you thread brother and those a going to look kickass. How are you going to tackle the center caps?

I was HOPING the inside barrel would look like yours. You just motivated me to go drag out one and take a pic.. You will be pretty disgusted...

I will just buy the Chrome SVT Caps or Look to find a place locally that can plate the plastic ones I already have.

The chrome might now be sticking because they never fully took all the ridges down inside the wheels.

Hope it all works out.
