service engine soon light
Hello all. I've watched this forum for a long time. It's a source of great information. I have to ask a question. I installed a Bassini high flow cat system this weekend and received the dreaded "service engine soon" light after about 30+ miles of driving. I re-set the computer (just in case), but it came back. Has anyone else had this happen? I did a search but came up with nothing. Thanks in advance for any advice.
I'm guessing the O2 sensors myself, but I need to find out what code the computer set. I was hoping to get lucky and not have to run the O2 simulators with this mod. It's also possible that one of the sensors might have gotten damaged in the transfer. I can say that the cats do control the sound of the truck. My exhaust is all factory with the exception of this mod. It definitely sounds better.
I had the same problem. First thing first there are 4 sensors under the truck one should be before the cats and one after the cats on either side if this is so I would ask if they did the wielding with the sensors in place. That will screw them up. If not then you better get the code checked.
