I would appreciate if you could share your experience because I am looking into purchase too. What other brands you are considering? Did you look into things that can hook up to J3 port?

Please feel free to e-mail me.

Thanks!

Really unless you want to get outrageous with pricing there are two products that seem to dominate. They are Autotap and EASE. I checked on the other forums such as Corral (Mustang Forum) and it seems to be a toss up between the two. There are some features that EASE can execute such as kicking off pre-built functions that your computer contains. Both allow you to monitor OBDII + Enhanced parameters and reset codes. Some have said that Autotap doesn't update as quickly as EASE but others say that is a function of the speed of the laptop. Autotap's interface is easier to understand but once you get to know EASE its not too bad. I also read that EASE's documentation is better. Also read that the graphing and export capabilities are top-notch in EASE. Its about a $60 difference in price. EASE is a bit more expensive.

Right now I'm leaning toward EASE.

Later.

I am curious what are other options? Even though I might not be able to afford them I always like to know more.

I've been programmer for many years. I know quite well that good code can do wonders even on slow laptop and vice versa. I will keep this in mind.

I like good user interfaces but I am alos big fan of good documentation. Not to mention that all that collected data is losing value if I don't have ways to analyze it. Good graphing and export capabilities mean a lot to me, so $60 will not be a decision maker/breaker.

So, no thoughts on using anything that goes on J3 port?

Thanks!
