I use to do that as a kid, people who wanted to get rid of a car would give it to me and a buddy and we would how you say....

I don't think proud is the word I would use mswaim
I'll kick my sons *** if he does 1/2 the crap I did "25 yrs ago"
But Yes it was a hell of a lot of fun to have people give you their car "that is legal and registered to them", and then have them say, do as you wish with it, just don't bring it back.
WHAT 16 yr old kid would say NO to that

The story is not very clear... Is "He" the fomer owner? Or Hartfield?
