Easter, are those yours in the classifieds? I was thinking of picking up a new set and selling the ones I have. (Getting a set that are uncut, mine are fitted for '00 wheels)

Because of the rules here I can neither confirm nor deny that.

It does sound like a steal $1500 for a set of Brembos plus shipping...

Huh?

I'm reading the reply above and still don't see the issue as large as you may wish it to be. When was the last time someone complained of an exhaust system not fitting righ the first time, or a set of fog lamps, or ? Sure it happens. And input from folks along the way make it better.

You also faliled to post the reply I put on that web site. I'm certainly not hiding behind any false statements, nor am I looking for a confrontation. Just be sure you cover all the facts.

We'd all love for everything we purchase to be a 'plug-n-play' world but as you point out; there are growing pains. I don't believe I ever made a statement to the contrary. In fact had you or someone here come to the table to be a test subject instead of sitting on the sideline you not only could have received a substantial discount, but offered up constructive critisim to help others. It's always easier to bad mouth another persons choices than your own.

The kits will continue and those who purchase may continue to offer up input to help future owners. That's what the world is all about. If you choose to pass I understand, and given your statement of not being patient it's likely for the better for all of us.

Peace.

A downright gentlemanly response, Todd. You confronted the issues head on, but stood your ground in a polite way. I suppose I understand better how you were able to keep Nathan from blowing his lid. Much respect.

A couple of corrections, though. First, I have no "wish to make the issue larger." Hell, I don't even know what "the issue" is.

Second, I did not "sit on the sideline." I already have Brembos, so I'm not in the market. If I did not already have brakes, TCE would be near the top of the list.

Third, your reply was not posted when I quoted the above.

Finally, I did not "bad mouth" TCE's products. I just wanted to reconcile your response to the "mixed/matched" allegation with the information in Nathan's post.

As I stated in my post, hat's off to TCE for making an affordable performance brake system for the L. I wish TCE nothing but good luck. I suspect you won't need it.

I'm just saving him bandwidth instead of posting the same tired stuff all over again!

Why do you want it re-posted in the first place?

Somehow I missed this thread the first time around. Couple comments ...

1) I got an early kit and did have problems.
2) Those problems have since been fixed.
3) I'd encourage people considering a big brake kit to read this post in its entirety:
http://www.nloc.net/forum/showthread...&highlight=TCE

The TCE is a viable kit at a great price. Replacement pads run in the $70 range ... very reasonable. It's not for everyone, but aside from the installation issues, I'm very happy with the price and performance. I certainly couldn't go back to stock. I suspect all the BBKs are comparable in performance. It just depends on how much name recognition, appearance, and $$ matter to you.

Maybe someone bought the kit and it worked for them that never saw this thread? maybe ssbc even answered an e-mail

I would also like to know which rear rotors to buy. SSBC lists on their site new rear rotors for the f-150, but I know ours are different. I think they're expedition rear rotors that I would need? TIA.
