*NEW* JLP 3" Drop Shackels!
Can someone explain the difference on height of the rear of the truck? If I put 2" shackels on will the truck be level or will it be lower in the rear? Will the 3" be even lower? I am new to all this and trying to learn as much as possible. Thanks
Not sure if its the same on 03's, but 01s could be leveled out w/the 2" shackles. People wanting 3 probably have front coils installed like myself...........
Whats the word on the pinion angle with teh 3" shackles?

According to JL, everything is fine with this setup. I will report my findings upon receipt. I suspect with the Eibach front coils it will provide me with the perfect stance. For the best 60' times, the front should probably not be lowered. But it looks SO GOOD. Many have run some serious times despite the lowered front, myself included. I'm not into road racing like Speedin Bob, but my setup serves my purpose for now. As long as you're making SERIOUS power, you can compensate for LOOKING GOOD.

P.S. Great Photoshop Speedin Bob. I may have to go to a clinic after viewing your post. LOL.

Johnny,
With an 03 L would I need:
- Shims?
- New bump stops?
- New front springs because the rear is going to be lower than the stock fromt?
This is exactly the way I wanted to go (not having to remove the rivets) and get it level.
Thanks

I just wasn't sure if the additional 20" of the HD over the L made enough of a difference on the pinion angle to require shims on the L. You hadn't mentioned in any of your posts that you had installed them on an L and checked those angles, so I wanted to make sure before I ordered them.

If your kickstand, I'm outrigger!
oh ok i got ya...but i believe the tire height itself dosn't effect the drop of the body with the shackels...these will drop the body down 2" or 3" from stock. you have a choice there are 2 settings with them....
