Question Block/Crank Purchase?

Anyone know how much a new Lightning 5.4L Block and crank would cost??
Also where would be the best place to buy one??

call a tuner, they will know how much a short block costs

you might not believe it if I told you.

cost on a block is only around $250 bucks, and the crank believe it or not is only $150!

yep yep, around 500 bucks for both items!! atleast somthing is cheap for these trucks huh!

He is right, the basic parts are not that much really at all. Its the good parts that cost....

If there is one thing i have learned after owning modular powered cars since 1996, its stick with someone who SPECIALIZES in Modular engines. Just dont go trusting each and every pushrod motor builder. Theres a lot of little things they need to know about assembly/prep on mod motors.Its your $$, so be sure to research it well.

Is this your local dealer at Cost prices???

Where are you getting the blocks for $250? I paid $500, about 1 year ago for my block.

those numbers are actually rounded up (meaning on the high side) if I remember correctly, but that is approximately 10% over dealer cost.
