Which should I purchase?

I just placed an order w/JDM for longtubes and highflow cats. My question is which is more durable: stainless steel, or jet hot coated?

I would think the jet coated also. I believe they have better heat handling characteristics. The stainless are nicer looking but will blue over time, however they won't ever rust.

I think it might be possible, only if the coating were to crack revealing the mild steel underneat. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Jet Hot coating is the schiznit. I had ceramic coated headers on my 56 F1 and it ran great. A friend of mine talked me into Jet Hot coated headers and I picked up a full tenth consitent!!

the coated ones are mild steel so they will rust over time.

i'd still get the coated ones though. they keep the heat down under the hood
