My warranty ended a couple of years ago...I have no idea when yours ends, maybe it already has.

The dealer I bought my L from fixed my clunk and I haven't had any noise in about six months.

Herb's washers aren't the only fix. I had my steering stops greased almost a year and a half ago. Haven't heard the clunk since. (about 9000 miles).

Actually DL's washers also work. I welded the stock washer to the lower control arm and I haven't had the clunk either. My buddy just sold his 2001 (nearly 30K miles)and it never had the clunk.

your truck's warranty started on the day it was originally sold. It could have been sold in February of '01 or it could have been sold in February of '02.

in either event, the warranty is good for 3 years or 36,000 miles from the warranty start date.

you can have OASIS run using your VIN to find out your truck's warranty start/end dates.

later,
chris

Will that show a Ford ESP also?

so if i bought my 01 on december 22nd 2001 i still have a little less than 2 years left on my warranty? Has anyone had all these problems fixed at once before under warranty? if so how long can i expect it to take to be done?

There are 2 clunks assiociated with our trucks. One of them can be fixed by greasing the steering stops. This one isnt that big of a deal. The other you have to change the washers and that one is more of a problem because it throws off your alignment and causes unnecessary tread wear. I could be wrong so if i am no offense is taken to the person that sets me striaght but from my understanding, my statements are correct. .... I hope.
