Do I need a wire harness to make the blinkers on a 01 sideview
mirror work on my 99L?

I took my mirrors off my truck and they connected perfectly on my dad's truck. I have a 2001 and he has a 1999.

 

were did you get those mirrors easterisland. those are sweet!! are they still power and how much$

 

The mirrors I have are the street scene ones. They are power and just plug in also. They require some prep work, but are worth the effort. I believe they cost is around $100-150. You can get the ones with signals inside also, but that didn't interest me.

 

I bought a set last year & they work fine.

 

who carries them. who do i call. the look alot better than my stock mirrors. i would think they catch alot less air not that you would probably see any difference but every little bit helps. what kind of prep work is there and how long did they take to install. makes the stockers look like rabbbit ears.

 

There are plastic seams which wrap around the mirror and must be sanded smooth for them to look good painted. It takes maybe 1/2 hour total to install them.
