Well guys i think i have made up my mind. Yesterday afternoon, i went to a local ford dealer here in Houston, and they had an a few 02 Lightings there, well the salesman and I got to talking, and i told him i was interested in a test drive, since i have never been in one, let alone driven one. So he agreed on it, and i hopped into a black 02. I didnt let the boost come up very high until we got on the freeway. !!!!!!!!!Holy SMokes!!!!!!!!!!!.....he told me to go ahead and get on it, and man, that thing hauls a$$. When i was up to about 40, and i would go to WOT, it comes alive like crazy. Not quite like my SS, but for a truck it is unreal!!! All in all i was very impressed with the handling, brakes, seats, and engine more than anything. Im very excited. I am not going to be able to make a purchase until the end of Feb, but it will be here before i know it!!>....hopefully

 

congrats, thats what sold me also, first was looks and then on the test drive it's called when the "lightning" strikes, from between 40-50 WOT is awesome feel. right after that i said, I'LL TAKE IT! so hope you get one and join us here so we can have a new lightning friend.

Good move. After a few months your SS will be a distance memory. Sure the SS is faster stock, but how many sheets of plywood can it haul, hauling ***?

Install a chip,filter, and pulley then wave bye-bye to those pesky LS1's!! It's an addiction I tell ya......just cant stop the modding once you start.

 

Wow, ain't that a fact. I haven't stopped dropping my money into my truck since I bought it! Ouch! But, well worth it!

You should get a great deal on it cuz it's an 02 plus use an X or an A plan and your all set. Use the money you save on mods!
