Roush Kit Help???

I just got off the phone with Roush, i was about to order the suspension kit for my 02, but the guy on the phone said it doesnt work with the 02's!!! he said that it will bottom out and will not work because the 2002 are already lowered too much????? i told him most people who have the kit, havent had any problems and even lower it more with drop shackles without problems but he insisted that it would bottom out and he would not warranty it or take it back b/c it was a 2002. anyone with a 2002 and the roush susupension please chime in here and tell me this guys full of #$&* about the kit not working with the 2002's

That sounds strange.
Did you talk to Eric?
I didn't think there was a ride height difference until 03.
I just put the kit on my 00 and it is a great kit.
Call back and get another opinion, maybe he is having a bad day.

Good Luck
Laurence

i talked to eric first, he told me the kit was on sale till they sold out, so i put some money in the bank, called back and got some other smo, hes the one who said it wouldnt work, i argued with him but he got me spooked, so i posted here. i just called back and talked to eric again and went ahead and ordered the kit, front springs on backorder but should ship next week.

Good deal.
I went through the same deal, the springs were on back order.
Before you tear your truck apart make sure you have the correct springs. They sent me an extended cab spring instead of a regular cab spring.
Additionally, be careful with the front springs and when installing the cam bolts install them from the inside out. The alignment guy will love you for it.

I have a 2002, I have the Roush kit installed. I am happy with it. If you install the kit yourself, like I did, be patient. The rear shocks took quite a bit more time than I expected.

One thing that worried me. The shocks in the Roush kit have substantially different upper shock mounts than the stock shocks. I have been told that it is not a problem.
