03 wheels on 99 and 99 wheels on 03?

What will it take to do this? Will the 99 wheels fit over the 03 wheel studs ( I think I read someone said they would)? What lug nuts will I need for the 03 wheels on the 99 smaller lugs (acorn nuts)? I just don't want to trade in my new Toyo's. If this is going to be to big a pain in the a$$ I'll just have them put the Toyo's on the 03 wheels (also a pain in the a$$) and have the 03 wheels chromed later.

I would think the lugs would stay with the year truck they came off of and just swap the wheels and tires around....

99 had 12mm studs
00 & up had 14mm studs

The wheels should be the same....

Thanks Vinnie. I had seen this pics of BBQ's truck but I thought maybe they were 00 wheels. Would it not cause a problem putting the 03 wheels with clearence holes for 14mm studs on the 99 with 12mm studs? To much slop? I'll get in touch with BBQ and see if he had any problems.

Jerry,

99 wheels will fit on 00-03 rotors. They are snug(read: a good thing) but they fit nonetheless. I have a set that I use for track duty.

MRBBQMAN's rigs are sharp, or something.

Thanks Bob.

If I understand it right the holes in the wheels of the 99's are smaller than the rest.

Yes the holes in the 99 wheels are smaller but the 14 mm stud will still fit thru them and you use the appropriate lugnut of course.Stan
