I think the valve body is $200 or $225 now. you'll need 5-7 quarts of Mercon fluid. total cost depends on if you upgrade to a Ford 4x4 pan, or aftermarket aluminum trans pan, or just reuse your stock pan. if you upgrade you also need the 4x4 filter. labor shouldn't cost more than 1 hour, or you can do it yourself. I can't find my receipt, but the Ford 4x4 pan and filter isn't much, maybe $75 bucks for the two. I had the fluid laying around, don't know how much it costs.

good luck.

later,
chris

BTW, this is my second FT valve body, it shifts noticeably harder than my '01 did. Greg said there have been about 3 revisions since the last time I bought one. this model is a 2C

Tim, is there a big difference between all the valve bodies, that all these different places sell? Like is one better then the other?

thanks!

Krix330cic(NJ),

I have been on these boards for a while now and have never heard a bad thing about Gregg's Factory Tech Valve Body. He's a master at transmission building and stands behind his products 100%. That says a LOT and that's why I will be selling his valve bodies.

i already have a valve body, and my question was how different is this one compared to all the others?

All the tuners sell them, and im just looking for the differences (if any) between them all...

Maybe ill make a switch if its proven one out performs the other.. got me?

Got ya. I can't answer the question simply because I've not owned others and I'm not a transmission expert. I do know that the huge majority of guys that buy the factory tech unit recommend them and brag big-time about them.

I hope this helps.
