Dyno #'s and some Q's...

Well I got my Truck Dyno Tuned at Razor's Edge this past week...Note these Numbers were done on a MUSTANG DYNO not a DYNO JET so they seem a little low...

Before- 374.4@4750 H.P.-424.1@4500 T.Q.

After- 384.2@4500 H.P.- 482.0@4000 T.Q.

No mods were added just a simple tune...

Now for my Q's....

I've noticed alot of people with exact same mods as mine with an addition of a T/B and they trap about 1-2 MPH faster....I know there is factors to that(traction, track, etc.)

But will I see a Gain with a T/B? Is it worth it?

I went to the track after my tune with an addition of Drag Radials and I could not Hook still, I ran a 12.9@107 again, my 1/8 Speed was higher though, but my 60' were horrible, Of course I need traction Bars, and Def. going to another track as they don't believe in prepping it correctly at mine

Your TRQ jump up allot, seems weird but I'm no dyno expert either.

You HP should have incresed more though too. espically with the 12.9's your running with it.

You'll gain 5 (low end) to 10 (high end) hp from a TB. I would do an air filter too though!

SVTBlackBolt,
Those are very impressive numbers. A Mustang Dyne is more accurate in my opinion as it measures under load.. If Paul is tuning your truck in person, I'd say you can't go wrong...He tunes mine from accross country and it runs great ...JR

401.2 RWHP @ 4750 RPM 461.8 RWTQ @ 4500 RPM on Mustang Dyne

I'm not questioning the Numbers because Paul did a fine job...i'm just debating a T/B and want a better E.T.!!!

I think you are purely 'traction-limited'. Your mph are where they should be but your et is still too high..............

Tires, practice, slapper bars, and a good track is all that is holding you back. I don't think a th/body will make that much difference. Oh yeah don't forget to get a driveshaft loop; you're in the 12s now .
