Barrett-Jackson Auction

Did anyone catch the auction actiion last night on Speedvision?
If not, you missed a true Blue Oval Classic Hot Rod.
They auctioned off a 1967 Fairlane "R" code 427 with 221 miles on it for a megar $70,000.00. A 69 Boss 429 Mustang went for a cool $68,000.00. It is on again this evening, so if your old like me and not out looking for some hot Babetts or something, turn it on.
You will see some beautiful old rides..
Marc

There were some really nice cars going across that stage. There was a 69 Mach 1 that had me drooling.

Anyone notice the hot redhead that is working there this year? I'd let her talk me into buying a car I couldn't afford.

like I did, to build a Pro Mod car. Thats why I keep Her!!!!!

I liked Reggie Jackson's 49 Ford coupe with the 427 SOHC engine and Turbo 400 trans (duh, I thought you said it had a 427 SOHC engine in it?) The announcers were not quite on the ball at all times tho'.

AAR Cudas, Hemi Challenger, SS Mopar, great 65 GTO, must be nice to be loaded.

Plan on watching tonite.

I"m sure it costs them a lot of money to put on an event like that, but B-J has got to be making a killing on this event. Not only do the sellers pay a commission on the selling price, the buyers also get hit with one too. Add that on top of the fees to become a bidder and spectator fees. Seems like a good business to get into.

1967 Fairlane

That 67 Fairlane was owned by Jackie Jones of Cleveland, Ga. I have seen it before. Pretty cool ride.

The 69 Jag was up to 900 somthing thousand dollars and the reserve wasn't met!

Reggie didn't sell alot of he cars he put in also. Prices wayyyy too high. He even got on the mic about one of them and couldnn't sell it.
