Ideal air/Fuel for daily driver?
Ideal air/Fuel for daily driver?
Just curious as to what most tuners are aiming for as an ideal air/fuel for a daily driver that often gets its bed full of stuff.
Thinking about sending my chip in for a reburn and just curious...

PS: I'm currently running about 10.5/1 on the dyno or under load.

10.5 is pretty pig rich. You will see better fuel economy and power by going between 11.4 - 11.6
Its hard to nail A/F down. Dyno is a tuning tool but doesnt give actual variabes while under full load and street conditions. I hooked up the wideband to mine last night with the auto tap and logged 4 full 0-100 mph WOT blasts up a slight hill. My a/f wasnt any higher then 11.4. That is true actual a/f.
If youre willing to invest some $$, i can point you to the correct place to get the hardware to do this. Youre looking at $1500 with either Ease/Autotap software/hardware and the Wideband setup. Well worth it though in the long run.

I've used a true wideband and a loaded dyno (simulating a 7% grade). We did a lot of numbers (0-100, 50 and punch it etc) and I have to hand it to the tuners, it stayed pretty much right at 10.5 until 5000+ where it got a bit richer (on purpose)
