Trouble in C5 Corvette-land

This is not 'new' but thought some of you would want to know about our competition's problems. There was also a thread about excessive oil useage too.

I do not know alot, but my steering wheel working at all times is pretty important to me.

The oil consumption problem was with a few of the 01 Z06 models. There haven't been any reported for 02/03 that I'm aware of.

I haven't heard much about the column lock issue.

Overall the C5s have very few issues.

Looks like the piston ring problem is the least of their problems

I sure wouldn't want my steering column locking while driving... lol.

I had that recall done a long time ago. The major problems I always had were the friggin brake rotors would warp like every 5K miles. I am not hard on the brakes, it just happened. The car would pulse heavily when coming to a stop. The idler pulley used to squeak a lot too. Went through 4 of them.

I have to say that I have had no problems with the L so far that had to go into the dealer. Now that I jinxed myself. The Vette was there 6 times within a year.

But a vette, makes 'em wet.
