Looks like the upper mount was way too tight and couldn't pivot on the frame. The shock shaft appears to have snapped at the base of the thread (it's weakest point). That's the upper mount still on the frame, right?

Maybe they need to change the design on the shaft thread area to make it easier for people to install these properly?

The guy that installed these does it for a living and he even showed me how you were not supposed to tightem too much ??????
