I have that set as well...very pricey, I chipped it in a spot re-installing it. Didnt look like real carbon fiber, yet when you look at the backs you can see a single super thin layer of the stuff...Im not sure what to think of it. Its probably not real but its still the best looking set out there

It is carbon fiber matting layed over the plastic pieces, as Konig said, on the back of the pieces you can see the matting.
