is 400hp the breaking point?

Hey guys, I'm new here so take it easy on me.

I've been searching this forum for a few hours looking through the HD and Lightning sections.

Has anyone every broke 400Hp at the wheels? If so, how'd you do it?

Thanks

I think the question is who hasn't got to 400rwhp. A lot of us have.

chip/filter/pulley will get ya there.

400hp at the wheels is ok with most trucks. upwards of 500 is around breaking point for most. It all depends though, some go higher so break stock too!

I have been over 400 for ALONG time. There are a few stock L's close to 500 and have been there ALONG time. Some break stock, some got rebuilt before they found the limit. Only trial & error can tell what your truck can do!

Filter would be mainly any open filter from say.....JL, PSP, or JDM ...and then a pulley would be a lower supercharger pulley, which you would want to use a chip with as well.

As far as pulleys go, you can get caged or uncaged. They both have their advantages/disadvantages.
