To me polished is so much better than chrome, so worth my time.

Tampa, I hope your under house arrest or something because I got to believe that is one really long tedious job. It will look awesome no doubt when it's done, man I give you credit for this one. Someday you'll be able to say, HEY, I POLISHED THOSE BABBIES MYSELF

My PSP Box came gloss black. I got the first one and the first few Sal did in gloss black then he switched over to wrinkle black. Since the gloss shows any minor defects in it. Kinda like my black truck that shows any tiny scratch . But i still like the box gloss black .

It's nice to see somebody actually creating bling instead of buying it from somebody else. You'll be very pleased with the results. My 95 has polished and I think they look much better then chrome. Wish I had the time and energy to do my 00's. Good luck, don't give up or else it will really look like crap with only 1 or 2 done.

The worse part about it is that some of the hardest work is after he get's them done and put back on the work continues for the life of the rims.

They will require constant polishing and will show tarnish and be more sesceptible to debris etc than chrome.

I admit polished looks damn good....but too dang much work for me.

Looks great man. I was just wondering what are you using and what did you use?
Where can I buy the material at?
Thanks

Thanks for the the positive input. I have almost finished the blower so starter on these wheels
2 weeks ago. As for maintaining the wheels its no problem for me since I have all the equitpment and its not as hard as you would think. To strip the wheels you only need industrial stripper from Home Depot, works great and only cost 18 bucks for a gallon.

Badazz, I like the box much better gloss black also, wetsanding the side to get ride of the grooves. Then gonna
buff it out and clear coat it.

The process I used to strip the wheels is:

1 Stripped off paint
2 used air sanded to grind of all high spots
3 used greaseless compound on a buff (80 grit, 220 grit and 320 grit)
4 Wet sanded flat surfaces with 400 grit to 1500 grit
5 Tripoli on a buff
6 mothers on a loose buff

I now so much about polishing from Babolt a started a small company!
