thanks Rich!

I'm so embarrassed, my truck doesn't even have any blower whine!

Hey Sal, hurry up and get me that chip and filter!
(oh yeah, I forgot I still haven't sent you they dyno and air/fuel numbers yet)

later,
chris

P.S. If you didn't read the other thread that Z06 had nearly 600 horsepower and 500 ft/lbs of torque with an EXTREMELY rich tune!

I'll have to listen/watch again, but thats what I'm talking about with the exhaust, it sounds like I went down to Trak-Auto and bolted on some Cherry Bombs If you snap off of the throttle quickly you get some popping and backfire like noise. some people LOVE this, I don't. not for what it cost anyway. (actually the catback isn't that expensive, but the whole system complete is. I just think the magnaflows aren't for me. but let me hold my official opinion for a few weeks to see if they grow on me.

later,
chris

Cool

Here is what the single Magnaflow sounds like with the full JDM exhaust system.

Dyno Video

The noise I heard at the end of your dyno run sounded like a metal to metal slap not an exhaust sound.

Cool

I went back an played your video and mine a few times. There is a definite difference in the way these 2 muffler setups sound. A subwoofer on your speaker system helps in the sound comparison.

Nice videos, I like the popping sounds when you decelerate.

THat popping noise is pressure waves going through the exhaust. Any exhaust system will have this. Even our stock exhuast with just the Magnaflow muffler has it. I believe, though not sure, that a resinating chamber found on most stock exhaust systems eleminate that noise.

Yep...and in this exhaust, the X-Pipe exagerates the effect as well. If it really bothers you, switch to the single chamber built-in X-pipe magnaflow, it won't do it as loud/much.

Any real, low-restriction performance exhaust will do it.

I also beg to differ that this sounds like a cherry bomb at all, take your long tubes and x-pipe off, strap on a magnapack and drive around, thats a cherry-bomb, totally different sound.
