CA Oweners using 6lb lower!
CA Oweners using 6lb lower!
Im just curious, how many people are running over 14lbs of boost on crappy CA gas? I am having mad pinging issues and am just wondering if its worth it to keep the 6lb on or go to a smaller[probly 4#] pulley. I mean, sal has my truck tuned extremely rich and I am only running 1 degree of timing more then stock @ WOT. At WOT i dont get any audiable pining but on tip in there is some. Im going to have sal retartd timing during closed loop and see if that takes care of my problems. So again, how many people are running 14+#s of boost on 91 octane?
I'm only running a 4# pulley, but I am blending the pump gas with the 76 Cool Blue 100 octane unleaded fuel. At www.76.com, they have blend chart which will calculate midrange octane ratings.

joe, this is nate with the white 00 lightning... on dyno pulls and racing you need to make sure that you either have a can of torrco fuel accelerator or race gas. YEs you have a built motor but having it wide open on 91 = problems. You should have sal tune u a really safe street tune with no timing and when ur racing have a race gas program its the only way to go in this state. do not expect to use ur street program for racing. in fact when i send my new chip to sal im going to ask him for a towing program that adds even more fuel for my street program.
