I am 6'6 300 and have no problem with the seats. That is why I bought the L. It is fast and I fit in it.

Try these

Wider seats....

designed for up to 44 inch waist

http://www.corbeau.com/brochure/VX2000.shtml

I don't know about corbeau quality, but they are big.

The Torino is not available in big man's sizes, but the Milano is:

The worst thing a big man could do is to "upgrade" to a performance seat not specifically designed for big men. The aggressive side bolters will make your life miserable.

Another thought: the seat upgrade may not be as expensive at it seems. The stock L interior can be sold for up to $1,000. If you do this, though, I would make damn sure I got some seats that Joe six-pack finds acceptable. Those horrid VX2000 seats would ruin the resale value of the truck.

I recommend gray leather or vinyl sides with black cloth inserts. The side bolsters will probably wear quickly on a truck, as there is a lot of dragging getting in and out of these high trucks--hence the leather/vinyl recommendation. The cloth inserts will provide the most comfort and grip.

I am informed by a sales rep that the Recaro Sports will fit a large man. They are about $800 each with leather sides and cloth inserts. Fully electric (bottom cushion height also--essential for a tall man) and have an adjustable thigh support--also essential for a big man with long legs.

I am 6'6". I think the Sparco Milano, Cobra TRS, or Recaro Sport are the best options for a daily driver. Considering I don't like the looks of the Milano and have heard reports of poor Cobra build quality, I would spend the extra money on the Recaros. You never hear complaints of poor Recaro quality. And Recaro is legendary for building the seat any way you want--if you are willing to open up the checkbook and let out some dead presidents.

I'm 6'6", 270-280, 42" waist. My *ss goes from edge to edge.

Next time you are in the truck, look down. Is your butt confined to the black center section or is it spilling over into the gray fabric?

There is only one thing keeping me from getting aftermarket seats: cash! If I had the money, I would reverse the color scheme on these and order them tomorrow:

Those are cool, I bet the suade would be hard to take care of, but those are a good deal.

I know of someone who has a set of those in the reverse color, but in all cloth. Maybee I can get you some pics.

That seat is on sale for, gulp, $1,850--for just the one seat. It is black leather and gray alcantara (the faux suede used in the L interior).

With gray leather outers and a black cloth inner, I would think that it would be easier to keep clean than stock.

Ouch I thought that was for a pair.

My bad

If you guys are looking for Recaros, go here and leave a message for Mark Wilson. Tell him Don refered you.

http://www.recaro-seats.com/index.htm

He offers $50 off each seat with a SVTOA membership

I just got out of the L and I have no problem with them, however the prospect of a seat designed to fit a big man is interesting.

I just installed $3K worth of wheels and $2K worth of Brembos. My mod budget is busted until about 2010.
