*jlp* Lift Bars!

I didn't do that before installing the Rancho Traction bars, which are very similar if not the same thing that JLP is selling, and now I'm having to consider some form of re-piping because every time the rear end hits a dip or speed bump the friggin traction bar bumps the exhaust pipe making a funky/embarrassing clunk.
Some fellow L owners told me to adjust the exhaust pipe height so that it wouldn't happen, but there is no room to go up because of the spring perch.

Hi Johnny. I have a question about your bars. I have the Jay's slapper bars on my truck. On the street I can not tell any difference in traction with them or without. I do not go to the track but 1 or 2 times a year and don't have slicks. Will your bars give any better traction on the street (with street tires) than Jay's slappers do? I don't want people to get the wrong idea....Jay's bars are built great and installed with no problem (I think Sal even runs them on his 10 sec. L) but I did not get any traction help on the street.

worry about getting some dr's or et streets, even then without a burnout, your only going to get so much hookup on the street
you can have a car setup for 1.2 60's at the track, but on street tires without a burnout on the street, you may be lucky to get 1.70's
Jerry: like beefcake said,if you don't have a tire that is able to bite on a road surface,no kinda of traction bar will help. however, i believe our bars will help on the street too. Our Bars completly stop ALL Axle wrap up.and at the same time transfer all that energy created by the rear trying to wrap up towrds the underside of the truck frame up towards the front of the truck. promoting the front of the truck to lift!(Lift Bars) and causing the rear of the truck to squat, thus creating the *perfect* postion for a awsome launch! Our truck had a 1.46 60ft!!!! without this setup we would have NEVER done that....I hope this helps....JL
I've noticed they really help to stop wheel hop on the street.
Bolt 'em on and forget 'em (after double checking all the torque settings after a few miles of course). No further adjustment needed.
They seem to help during high speed twisty excusions also..

I ordered some. And still have a question that I forgot to ask.
With a 2" shackle drop and these bars, do I need to adjust the pinion angle in any fashion? What's the best way? Shims? (M/T ET's at the track)
