I really appreciate the responses here.

I ordered the truck with a one piece dark tint rear window, as opposed to the slider. I might have held myself up there. But they put them in other std/extended cabs all day, so its not like its hard to get or anything.

Thanks.
Gordon
Hey Gordon

I don't think you can order a Lightning without the rear slider. I might be wrong, but I have never seen one without the slider.

I hope you get your truck soon, but you might want to look into the rear window issue. This may be holding up the order.

Don

I was thinking the same thing Don. I tried to get my dealer to do a few special orders on mine...he said on SVT it comes the way it comes.

They would do a few after market mods, but from factory, they wouldn't even try.

Somewhere in the order screen it is possible to enter a special request. My regional rep. was there, and I was the last order.

I also had to get the truck allotted, normally he only gets 19. I know that most will tell you that there is only one option, the rear cover, but I just thought that it would be a heck of a lot nicer just to have the solid dark tint rear, its not like they don't have them.

From what I have come up with so far, is that the trucks just are getting in the southeast. It is possible that the window is the holdup, but that is the only thing that for daily use I don't care for.

Thanks again,
Gordon

mblgjr,

Delivery to the SE has been since mid-December. Mine was delivered to MS on December 20.

When was your order made? More than likely (unless the dealership is leading you on with total bs) the order just hasn't come up in sequence yet. I'm sure there are a lot of orders for Lightnings (and F150's in general) and probably there are many orders ahead of yours the factory has not made it to yet. When I ordered/bought mine (early December), other dealerships were giving me delivery dates of February and March. Luckily the dealership I did buy from had placed the order weeks/months earlier.

Be patient! The wait is worth it!!

Chris

I am really not trying to be pushy, I just want a straight answer from my dealer. Right now that seems impossible. I know that the order should come through the system as a normal order would. The order was placed relatively early.

No rush, just my first L, and its in a color that I haven't seen on a truck, just keeping tabs on whats going on.

Really I don't expect it until Feb. @ the earliest. The latest should be @ the end of April.

Thanks.
