Source for used Pirelli P Zero road racing slicks?

I remember that there was a guy in Houston that used to be able to get used Ferrari Challenge race tires for $50 a pop. Does anyone have his contact info?

Thanks,
Edward

I used to be able to get the Dunlop slicks. But lost my contact. Does the ALMS series race near your? Attend an event and get down to the pits. You will be able to fill your L with take offs. Most will give them away.

My friend works for Panoz and they have 18" front tires. I tried getting some tires from him but since they are sponsored by Michelin they have to give back all the tires (old ones). So oh well. Maybe at next years Petit Lemans I can get some from another team.

No AMLS races around me. I just remember that the Ferrari Challenge tires were size 295/35/18. I was hoping that I could scrounge up a set of stock wheels and get some slicks for $200. I don't plan on running the tires more that a few times a summer.

Thanks for the suggestion though,
Edward

I can get em

I'm planning a trip to Houston next weekend and will be picking up a whole stack of 18 inch scrubs. If they're like the batch from last time most of them are in barely useable shape. Flat spots, burnt sections, uneven wear, etc. That said, there are usually a couple good ones in the batch.
I'll see if I can dig up the guy's phone # for ya.

Thanks, Nathan. Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated. I'd really like to get some slicks since tracking in Corpus just ate up my tires last time.

Thanks again,
Edward
