This question comes up from a conversation a friend and I were having talking about the Lightning this past summer.

It wasn' t uncommon to sit in a resteraunt and at the other side of a bench seat or a conversation may start at another table about those rare (25 in Alberta) Ford lightnings. It has happened in the past were I went into a place and a individual will seek me out with alot of questions or ask for a ride thinking it would be a real privilage.
The looks from the Chicks rooting up and down the main drag at Sylvan Lake got its fair share of attention by everyone and espically Cops at night.
A lightning brings out the worst in women. What do they love more me or the Lightning? it is the real test. Last April I had a G/F love the truck and bank accounts, Mall, shoe stores more than me. Oh well I have a good one now.

Love everything about my L. I love the attention I get when iots all cleaned up and I go out and cruise. most people seem to break their neck to get a glance when I go buy. Women love it. But I am always on the look out. I already had a G/F that loved my truck more than me. They always want me to take them for a ride. I even have a had a few ask me if they can drive it? My friends always want to go cruise with me in the L cause of the attention i get from the ladies. It is definetly the right tool for picking up women. I just love eveything about the truck. it is an awesome piece of machinery. There are only a few L around here in wichita also so All us L owners usually stand out. The cops also love this truck too. i always have cops pull in behind me and hit the hell out of me with radar. They are always waiting for me to slip up. it sucks that we have to be targeted by the cops, but I guess thats what you get when you drive a high performance vehicle. Just flat out love the truck. I am going to get a Gen 1 this spring so i'll have the best of both worlds.

The payments....I have none.
The best part is the shockeffect when someone has absolutely no idea of this 4800 pound bricks power. Not only from its ability to leave almost everything behind at the stop light, to is great handling at speeds well over 100 mph.
Of all the 60's and 70's muscle cars I have owned in my 52 years, this is undoubtalbly the most enjoyable.

I enjoy driving it the most but also like when i notice people on the car next to me are talking about the truck. This happens quite often.

 

I love the sound at WOT and how hard it pulls for a stock truck!!..... and I like sitting up higher than my C5 did..

 

My favorite part:

 

Even though it was enhanced by the Factory Tech Valve Body,

I love the 1-2 shift the best. Gives me a stiffy.

 

I like it when I am sitting at a redlight and I get a burning sensation in me. You know the one where you feel like someone is watching you. Then I look over in the next lane and somebody is drooling all down the side of my truck. That is the BEST!

My favorite moment was the first night I got my L and I was driving down mainstreet. Some 15 year old kid screams out "Holy ****! That's a Lightning." As I drove by a group of about 15 people just stared as I went past them.

theres one reason!!!!! and I love smoking other cars that think they cant lose to a truck and trucks cant be fast at all!!!! HAAHAHAH

 

love seeing ricers point the truck out to their friends in the car with them, as if to say, "man thats a BAD f*ckin truck I ain't gonna f*ck wit dat"

 

Too many things to list.......

I love smoking people when they think their Vette, WS-6 etc is fast.
I love the way poeple look at your truck as if to say "WTF is that".
I love the thumbs up when at a traffic light.
I love how ignorant people are about the vehicles power........and the fact that it is a "special" vehicle (no pun intended).
