I have one on my '97' Mustang Cobra which works great in conjuction with a Pro-M 80mm MAF. Pro-M ( Best Products ) originally set my Pro-M 80mm up for a Supercharger application matched to 36lb injectors. With the SHM Mafterburner installed I did not have to set the unit back to Pro-M when I upgraded to 42lb injectors. The software in conjuction with the hardware unit lets you take your laptop & make the necessary adjustments to the fuel changes to the MAF. I think the unit is great. I don't know if the Mafterburner will work on the Lightning though. Call SHM for that info.
Im seriously considering buying this, anyone have any other input?
"What vehicles will the MAFterburner work on? Currently the MAFterburner has been tested on and is approved for use on 1987-2002 Mustangs (GT or Cobra), 2000-2002 Ford Focus’, and 1999-2002 SVT Lightnings. However, the MAFterburner should work just fine on any car that has an analog output mass-air meter."

Joe, you want to stay away from any "MAF signal" altering devices. Those things are fine for a Mustang, but on our truckss the MAF signal back to the PCM is used to control vital transmission functions, and altering it can cause premature transmission failure.
And on the dyno it didn't gain any power, just corrected for a lean condition..........................http://www.mafterburner.com/
