Built Block & KB Blower on a Daily Driver

I am 99% sure of heading down to Pennsylvania to add the KB Blower, JLP Built block (with ported Heads) & Monster Box so this beast should be pretty well be bullet proof. Since this truck is still my daily driver from April to November, how much drivablility will I lose with over 522 rwhp? This would kick a$$ but how much would it cost to "maintain it" for everyday driving. It is tempting to drive something that will destroy any & all challenges( especially rice rockets) at the lights but there is still that little bit of uncertainty that says"this is too much power" for essentially a street only truck with the odd trip to the track.

Thanks HORSE9 (Chris)

I am sure daily drivability should not suffer that much. You just tell johnny your plans and I am sure he will suggest the proper path.

The only regret(if you would call it that ) is getting traction. Do not get 20s like I got. You will need to have them Nitto 555r on all the time.
When I punch it with the torque converter,20s and 8 # lower pulley there is not much in the way of traction.

Just something to keep in mind.

hmm, i dont think youll lose much if any drivablility except maybe gas milage (remember that bs commercial 'your supporting terrorists by driving a gas guzzler') you might need a better posi unit though (1 wheel burnout). as long as you still have power steering and a/c. just because you have more hp doesnt mean you lose drivability

Chris do we have you set up for an appointment? We have a shop full and have about 15 more on the books for the same set up.Give us a call 717.786 4670...
Drivabilty issues? None! Thats if you don't count wheel spin at just a light touch of the throttle..... JL

Keep in mind that you wont be running 20 psi everyday, at least i hope you wouldn't. It's nice to crank it up for dyno runs and the track, but most peopel don't drive around like that.

What do you mean BS commercial?

The, "Do drugs and support terrorism" is more BS than that commercial. (Only drug that supports terrorism in Heroine)

Don't worry though. I also am doing my part to support terrorism. At least until I get a Honda Insight.

Hey Johnny,

We don't have the appointment yet as per your e-mail last night.

I will send you pm now.

thanks very much,

Chris

Ps I should state that I was not worried about your tune, it was just a matter of having too much power but the "Boost a pump" will handle that i guess.

Is your's a daily driver?

If the L was my only vehicle I would be a lot more conservative than if it was a toy (which it pretty much is, but I still like it a lot better when it's working)

Not to mention your a nut

If I could afford to go all out, I would

Think of it like a gun

I rather have it, and not need it,
than need it, and not have it

if any of you guys get sick and tired of your KBs, built blocks, and monster boxes in your daily drivers you can always donate to the "AFasterSuzy" fund

not to be all PC and over take this post, but....

With that commercial shouldn't the biggest supporter of terrorists be the US government for not making the car company’s make atlest 50% or more of all cars sold electric or hybrids? and for buying all oil from those countries that have terrorists? i know most of our oil comes from south america and only 18% (thats what i remember, i could be wrong) comes from the middle east
