I like seeing detailed installs of performance mods.. Lots of pics too. I am talking about blowers, Naaaaaaaaaaws
lower end build ups, suspension tweaking, etc.... not how to install a chrome tip and matching antannea mast, save that stuff for hot rod tv and speed vision's other pathetic offernings.

new product write-ups back with installation notes and dyno/track results. feature articles of trucks with one-off custom jobs, etc. wouldn't mind seeing a stereo/multimedia job in an L. like someone said variety. roadracing features, drag, show, etc. no stock "mint" trucks though...i'd rather go to the dealership to drool over a stock truck.
most important: feature trucks with custom setups of some sort, not just bolt-ons. i want to see one-off stuff!!

Any press is good press, I think. But how about an article about sleepers? (if you can consider a factory truck that does mid 13s stock a sleeper). But I mean factory looking:
1) Full street trim (hitch,tailgate,cover,F1s or Nittos)
2) Factory everything exterior-wise(badges,hood,rims,etc)
3) Factory everything interior-wise(bone stock,no guages)
And under the hood, nothing major visible. Cold air intake, TB, VB and a fan kit are OK. They're kinda hard to hide, but they're just simple bolt-ons right?
No NOS.
But the truck has the right combo of mods to get it into the low 12's - high 11's in that form on the street.
I think that's an inconspicuous beast at it's best. People who know the trucks are already impressed by them but if you're lined up next to any respectable performance car on the street and you put 5-10 car lengths on them in a short radius or highway burst, they're gonna say, "Damn, that thing was a....sleeper!"

1) Detailed installation articles with lots of pictures for common Lightning installs... air intake systems, exhaust, blower pulleys, electric fans, lowering kits, etc.
2) Real world tests of performance parts with honest and comprehensive hp dyno results. For example, take a stock truck, throw on a chip and show before and after dyno results.
3) Articles about real world Lightning owners and their trucks... and don't just list their mods but hook 'em up to a dyno and tell us what we could expect with those mods.
MMFF magazine normally does a pretty good job when they run a Lightning article, but they don't have nearly enough... to justify me buying it, as I have to wade through 200 pages of Mustang stuff to read a 4 page Lightning article. They really need to expand out and run articles on ALL Fast Fords (or Mercury's), like the Focus, Lightning, Marauder, etc.
Boy, if someone out there came out with a total Ford Lightning perfomance magazine I would be all over that!

As far as articles, I would like to see the cost of these mods that are put on the truck and dynoed. That way, you get an idea of the "bang for the buck"
And since every article written about the Lightning is about hp, wouldn't a story about aftermarket brakes and suspension be a different route to go?
