Angry Little TOO Curious - A Lightning Story

Last night I was parked on the street across from my house, right behind my winter beater. We had company, and they were taking up the only free spot in the driveway. About 9:30 p.m. (after watching "Signs") I decide to go outside and have a smoke. As I'm standing at the end of the driveway. I see a car drive by through the intersection not far from my house. They get thier rear-end through the intersection, then all of a sudden they stop. I sit there and watch them, sitting right in the middle of the cross street. About 10-20 seconds later they finally drive off...slowly. Obviously this sparkes my attention. I've never seen this car in my neighborhood. It was a four door sedan POS. Gray and rust color with an obvious exhaust problem. It sounded like a lawn mower. Anyways, the remainder of my smoke I keep my eye out for this car. I go inside and start finishing up an earlier project. I was putting an electric winch on my mother ATV in the garage. About 11:00 p.m. I hear this loud exhaust coming from outside the house. Now normally I wouldn't think nothing of this, but two things caught my attention. The first is I'm obviously nervey about the earlier encounter. The second is that it sounded like they kept going back and forth in short spirts. Well I bolted upstairs and out the front door, onto the front patio/porch. Now I'm gazing down at this exact same car I encountered earlier, sitting right next to my truck. As they see me they drive off. I saw atleast three guys in the car...if not five. (it's not over yet) Well after they leave I walk out to the street and look at my truck, my mother's husband truck (which was parked right across the street) and the ground. I was looking for any tale-tell signs of vadilism. I didn't see any. Well then my mother suggested I move my truck into the driveway. Our company had left by then so I decided To do that. As I'm getting out of the truck, after I pulled it into the driveway, I look up the street, and what do I see? The car sitting at the top of the hill facing me. As I walk around the truck the car starts to pull into a driveway in order to turn around. That was it I was off to the races. I took off running up the street towards the car. The closest I got was about 30-40 feet from it. Well after this I finished up the ATV and pulled my truck inot the garage. And that is where it is sitting right now. It's supposed to get into the 70's today and I'm stuck driving the beater. It pisses me off at the disrespectful low-life trash that thinks anything nice you have should be theirs. After all this excitment I went driving around looking for them and found two possiblities. I wrote down the licence plate numbers and am keeping them for future reference.

This is for all these kind of people... Kiss my hairy fu---ng A$$!!!!

Sorry had to vent

sorry to hear about that story. In high school last year we had a HUGE , all out, 200 person ice ball fight in the parking lot one day after school. Imagine how it feels to get hit by a iceball in the head then see your truck get pelted with one. brings a whole new type of anger into the situatoin!
Silver--I go to CMSU in warrensburg-you ever come that way? Im from Fulton which is 30 miles east of columbia but im a freshman at Central.

Green-

I have a good friend who's current husband went to CMSU. And my brothers fiance' is going there next year, I think.

However, I haven't ever been to Warrensberg. Or Fulton for that matter.

I know what you mean. Went to Thursday Night Riders meet a few weeks ago, and this guy walked up to me and said nice truck, are those the kind of brake light lens people brake out to steal the bulbs out of them? It got me thinking a lot, now the girl is parked inside the fence in yard, with the dog looking after her. WTF are we supposed to do? Keep them under constant video camera viewing?

well..... the first time, they looked which was fine, but then they came back again, and then again, and if it was 3+ guys in the car, you kinda get the suspision that they are scoping out the place for a theft or vandalism.....

- My impression now is that they were "spoting" my truck. Checking it out to see what stands between them and whatever they want. I'm not really sure how they knew where I lived. I usually watch who follows me and if I feel someone is following that really shouldn't, then I'll take a few quick turns to see if they are. That usually weeds them out.

- As for why I didn't chanse after them in my L...well it happened so fast that I really didn't think about it. If I had to do it again, I'd run after them while they were sitting by my truck, rather than waiting til they are 7 houses away.
