Drop Shackle Experts.... Need to I.D. a Pic/Part

Hi guys,

Before my L I had a 4X4 XLT and I dropped it using BellTech's kit. I have removed the drop kit just to ease up the ride and now have some spare parts.

I need a drop schackle for my L and I was thinking that I could use the shackles I have lying around.

I saw someone else's post about the Shackle part # and it was 6400 for the Lightning.

Mine says 6400-001, and here is a pic to see if you guys can visually identify it as the right drop schackle for Lightnings.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks man! But which one is the stock one?

Has anyone else had experience with the Belltech Shackles?

They look like the right one, but I don't have my truck with me. If the holes are the right size they should work.

Thanks Don! I checked the summitracing catalog and my shackle matches their part pic, but I just want to make sure.

Anyone else used Belltech Shackles?

The look exactly like mine except mine don't have the part number stamped on it.

Go for it.

I use BellTech shackles and they look identical to mine. My box says p/n 6400

Thanks guys! Once the snow melts, those bad boys are going on!

I have driveline shims to correct the -2 degrees that result from the 2" drop, however, one of them is chipped. Can I still use that shim? The shim is rectangular and the top left corner (the sharp edge of the shim) is broken off...

You don't need the shims

I have the shackles and no shims, and I haven't had any problems.

Doesn't having a -2 degree driveline angle eat horsepower? Like 10-20 hp?
