Sweet! Hey, I always wondered why your dad didn't have a big beard like Dusty and Billy... I mean, considering the name, it seems ironic.

10_PSI_Guy,

I learned to play drums by imitating your dad. I used to spend hours and hours everyday listening to ZZ Top and playing along with his drumming. I learned triplets, backbeats, and syncopation by listening to him. He influenced my style and for that I am very thankful. If you would tell him this, I would really appreciate it.

Tim

I don't know if this is what you meant by that but seeing as his last name is Beard I don't find it appropriate for a young man to be looking at his dads Johnson

ZZ ROCKS

Maybe you had to be there, but I remember my early years with Me and my Women, a nice Big Block Chevelle, a hit of 4 way sunshine, and the best GOT DAM cruzing music the world ever had to offer.

Was then
AND STILL IS TODAY
Minus the acid of course

You got a legend as a Dad PSI Guy

Good one! I really like Francine, too.

Got a girl, her name's Francine,
finest thing you ever seen.
And I love her, she's all that I want.
And I need her, she's all that I need.

You mean they still have turntables around to be able to play those? lol. I talk to my kids about the old records and they just laugh at what vinyl looks like. Half the quality, half the capacity and 3 times as big. They say it reminds them of dinosaurs. One of my first live concerts was of ZZ Top. They were a back up band and were opening for Rare Earth. Well needless to say after listening to a set by ZZ Top, we only stayed about 20 minutes for Rare Earth. The back up band that night blew the opening act away. They were promoting their first album, appropriately named, "First Album". After that tour, ZZ Top was a headliner and the rest is history.

I also enjoyed "Born in the USA" and "Blame it on the Rain". Odin's Wrath you obviously haven't heard the cover album ZZ did back in 01'. Other hits included "I'm too sexy" and "Rico Suavy" but my absolute favorite was thier cover of Celine Deion's "Titanic Theme"
