P/N? for Eibach lowering springs
I was sent 3576-520 for the 02 lightning. According to the web site this is a part number for the regular F150/Expedition. Are these the right springs?
???
but the expy/f-150 use the same setup as us.
only difference is that we are .5 inches lower.
some people will say 1 inch, but in the svt lightning corse i took from ford, said only .5 inches.
so 2" drop coils will lower us 1.5 inches

Eibachs (forget the part number) will lower the front two inches and are not a spring to use if you desire improved handling.
Here's a shot of a 2/2 drop with the eibachs/beltech shackles. The coils have since been replaced
Notice the touching coils prior to the bumpstops being trimmed. This cant be good.

Speedin Bob - What did you replace them with? I was thinking of using the Eibach front coils and 2" rear shackles. BUT... I do have a set of groundofrce (FRPP) springs at home... afraid to put them in because the last time I used a set of these springs, they would not level out - looked kinda goofy. Was it the bad handling that made you switch to a dufferent spring?
I had the Eibach springs with the # you gave installed by JDM at their facility back in Aug and i had already installed 2" Western Chassis shackles in the rear. I love the rack and the ride. I'm not a road racer but the truck seems to handle great to me. Sorry i have no pic's and my truck is a 2002. Hope this helps, John.
Want to add my front Eibach's dropped me around 1".

93cobra,
Even with correct bumpstops, the handling was completely unacceptable and were replaced with 1000lb specific rate coils from Ruslow.
IMHO, progressive rate springs aren't ideal for our application. They may be comfy putzing around town but be prepared for
in the corners.
RE the ground force springs, do you mean leveled front to back, side to side, or both?

The weren't level from side to side. One was a little more than 3/8" different than the other. I just don't want to go through the install to find out that they aren't level again.
My previous FRPP kit didn't handle all that well - but it might be a bad comparison since I replaced the front shocks with standard truck shocks. This really made for a sqirelly ride in the corners, but it did help immensely in my 60' time at the track. For once, I was able to cut low 1.80's on F1's at Norwalk... which had never happened before.
So now I am in a quandry... what do I want to use to lower my truck??

Eibach may not be the best in handling.... but ride quality is excellent. you said that the coils were touching, this is why:
the eibach spring is the same height as the stock spring but "it settles lower" that is what makes the car lower, but when you drive it's not a stiff ride. where as the FRPP, or anyother with the rougher ride, is smaller than the stock spring, and the coils are spaced far apart.
so eibach has better ride quality in my opinon, and maybe not as good handling as FRPP, or any other, but it's just as good, if not a little better than the stock spring, so either way you are going to a better spring. it's all personal preference, people will come on here and swear by what they are using, because EVERYTHING out there does the same job.

Some prefer a smoother ride in lieu of increased handling capabilities.
Application and end result is in the eye of the beholder (or is it credit card holder)
