I don't understand why you moved this thread, since it deals with the Lightning. Many other stupid and useless posts don't get moved, while this important topic was moved.

I feel by moving it many lightning owners will not see it, I didn't even know the 2004 F150 (Rumors, Facts, Speculation) forum existed till the post got moved.

So please move it back here where it belongs

Doug, I love the forum, but you're wrong here. It should not have been moved. This is the ACTUAL 2004 F-150, not a speculation. (Other than the interior trim and engine compartment trim pieces). Why did you bury it in the part of the
F-150.com that no-one visits?

It is the 2004 F-150, but its a 2004 Lightning "Concept" as per the press release's. I mean 22" rims from the factory? Yeah, I'll believe that when I see it.

 

I take back what I said in the other thread... Man, if the 2005 Lightning looks like that, I'll be trading up!

Those MAY be pictures of the Lightning concept. Some of the stuff you see and read in those pictures MAY make it to production.

Your issue is with Steve.

The same exact subject has come up 4 times in the Lightning forum in 12 hours. Steve created the 2004 forum to reduce the duplication of posts like that ALL over all the forums.

If you are looking for info on the 2004 you should start checking that forum...

Im sure once the 2o04 gets closer to production the 2004 Forum will no longer be needed. Lets wait on Steve's decision to that effect. Steve and I are flying to Detroit today for the unveiling of the 2004 Truck at the Plant Tomorrow. Perhaps once it is unveiled his approach will change. We should gets lots of pictures of both the 2004 unveiling AND the 2004 Lightning Concept which should be at the Detroit Autoshow. So Stay tuned.

Edit - since Ford has said that the Lightning will not be made in 2004 these should really be in the 2005 or 2006 forum when it is created.

 

Another thing to keep it over there... all of the furor over the Dodge SRT is due to a concept vehicle... which we have all bashed and told people to **** until they actually are on the road and you can pull up next to one at a light. Kind of a double standard if we suddenly accept a Ford concept as the gospel and convert to the new slab side L religion.
