Thumbs up

The factory cover is awesome for the 01 and up. (the corners don't curl up as easily) It just sucks to pay 4 times as much for it cause you didn't get it as an option.

I've had my Extang on for almost a year and no deterioration at all. I get a lot of compliments on it and it's snapless design. I paid right at $300 installed (I'd do it myself next time as it's easy to do). Check out the website at Extang.com.

I love my factory cover with the bedrug. The cover looks a lot better when you have 2 people roll it up.

Its hard to roll up by yourself, unless you are in the center of the bed, rolling it from the middle... still a big PITA!!

But when you have an extra person, you can roll that sucker up nice and tight!

ask around, lots of guys here have changed for hard toanu's, im sure they have theirs just sitting..

The stock cover comes off very easily, the bars just pop out (one end is spring-loaded) and the cover slides off/out at the top. Dan's cover looks just like mine so I'm saying its a stock cover.

I have a Downey SST on my 2000 because I couldn't get the factory cover. It uses snaps and I love it.

The factory cover is one nice piece of hardware. Very easy to remove by one person, and I can actually roll mine up very tightly so it doesn't "droop" in the bed. I highly recommend the Bedrug + factory cover combo. Less weight and more versatility than a fixed/hard tonneau.

I just couldnt see spending 0ver $400 for an OEM cover, so I bought this Saddleman cover for just over half of that from Summit Racing and love it. It is nicer than the factory unit anyways and the corners will not flip up at the rear!

Hey Skank Dog. I considering buying a bed cover for my screw. Didn't realize how many different ones are available. I want to get a quality product but don't want to spend a fortune. Have you had any problems with your cover in this Texas summer heat (ie- sagging.etc.)?

when I had my f150 4.6 I made a roll up bar for it, I got a 1 inch piece of dowel, painted it black, bought 3 extra snaps and mounted them to the dowel, then it was time to rollup, pull off all the snaps, snap it to the dowel, and u can roll up it up nice and neat from either side, and it stays that way, I also cut the stock ties from the bed cover and replaced them with Velcro straps, but now I just lift...

I have the Extang snapless Sabre tonno. I like it better than the factory one. My friends factory tonno gets puddles of water on his and water also runs into the bed. I don't get a drop of water in mine. I found it online for $215 delivered. Sorry, I can't remember where. I assume you are putting a R1 or R6 in there. My Gixxer fits fine with the tonno rolled up. The crossbars are spring loaded on one side and just pop out. Hope this helps.
