Don't worry, Twisted. I have heard from just about everyone what a b*tch the tips are to remove. Guess I got lucky--or maybe it's the dry California air.

Had to take a sanity break.

I'm told by Metco that I have to have the exhaust system bent to clear the bracket.

While I'm at it, I'm thinking of adding hi-flow cats and some chrome 3.5" tips for just a touch of bling (would prefer silver powder coat, but don't know anyone who makes them).

oh crap...

Well - I'm digging up this old thread in hopes something 'new' was found but not posted since... I was only searching for some install tips ... no pun intended ( again )

My Point : My Metco Lower Links are showing up today. Guess I shouldn't plan on installing them in one evening...

I'll try to find my local 'friendly' muffler shop and kiss some butt. Then send metco the bill.

Any thoughts or updates? I'm with Tim - I REALLY hate having to modify something that is intended to work out of the box. Hopefully they updated the design by now

Do you think it would help to 'preassemble' and then install?

Thanks for any ideas, thoughts and support
I'll be drinking lots of during the install; which will only HELP.
John

I had to have the exhaust bent by a muffler shop. I seriously doubt that Metco has revised the parts -- they didn't seem very concerned or apologetic that the parts did not fit.

Angry well poop

That stinks. Do you have any pictures of what exactly the muffler shop did? Did they just bend what is there or actually have to cut and weld back peices?
My brother is a master ASE and has done a bit with hacking and welding; so this maybe possible with DIY.
Thanks,
john
