More exhuast trouble AGAIN!!!!!!!!
More exhuast trouble AGAIN!!!!!!!!
Yeah once again my battle with the L exhuast has thrown a new twist in the never ending battle of my life. I don't know if I just suck at putting exhuast on or what but I have nothing but trama lately!
Last night I was driving my truck, yep yep took her out of the cave for a cruise. Needed to drive her to release my angry and get my mind clear from you know what. Well anyway I was cruising down the street and a dakota RT pulls up along side of me. The guy had a nice exhaust on it but I don't know what else he had for performance. the outside had some cool mods but all in all its a dodge and its still ugly, HEHEHEHE. So I decided to show this guy what it was all about and show him that he pulled up next to the wrong L tonight, HAHAHAHAHA.
I knew he wanted to race cause he slowed down to an even pace with me at about 30mph. So that was it, I waited for him to jump on it and then I layed the hammer down and the beast just reved up and smoke came pouring from the rear tires as I accelerated and soon enough caught traction after I slighty went past his front bumper. As soon as my tires took to the pavement it was all over and the beast just put bus lengths on this guy like he put his truck in reverse! The air temp was probably in the 20's last night so you can imagine what the beast felt like after that rush! So I left this guy in the dust and kept on heading home for the night. Well my friends I was heading home and all the sudden I hear the exhaust getting louder and louder with ever passing second. For the life of me I didn't know what it was at first but then I knew as soon as it got even louder and I could hear how my truck sounded like an open header funny car as I drove down my street at 3:00 in the morning probably waking everyone up as if there was a F15 flying over head, HAHAHAHAHA.
So I got the truck in the garage and said screw this I'll mess with it tomorrow and figure it out. Well got the truck jacked up today and would you believe that all the bolts that where holding my collectors to the cats where gone and the new copper gaskets I bought fell out from between! How on gods green earth that happened is beyound me cause I made those bolts so tight, used lockwashers and even locktighted them also! I don't get my luck lately and what worse could happen to me, its no big deal fixing this as it should only take 15 minutes but I'm just sick of stupid crap happening to me
.
I need to get some tonight for sure to releive this stress. Time to open up the little black book again!

Hey, also, what color loctite did you use? The red stuff will break from the vibration. The blue stuff is where it's at, it kinda stays 'gummy'. It's made for machine parts, and, in turn, parts that will get hot and/or vibrate.
Try duct tape, that usualy mends everything nicely
better yet Put new bolts and screws back in and add liquid cement to it. When you need to get the stuff off just cut the bolts off and maybe some sulfuric acid :P

HAHAHAHHA, yeah she sure did get my nuts off.
Well anyway I got the leak fixed and for the hell of it I went around and tightened up the entire exhuast except the for heats bolts that is and the exhaust really needed it. Sounds allot smoother now and I fixed a couple rattles while I was down there too!
My baby is back and ready to rock and roll again!
