I would suspect that EVERYBODY who is running a chip and a valve body is doing this UNLESS they specifically asked their tuner for their shift duration not to be changed (and why would anybody do that?).

I loved my JL chip and FT valve body combo on my '01. it shifted nicely around town when cruising, and banged gears under wot!

later,
chris

Been running the FT VB and PSP chip for 2 years.... No complaints. Shifts are crisp but not firm until you go WOT. Then it changes like a hammer... hang on with both hands cause you are launched.

My chip from ABC shifts a lot nicer than the one from XYZ.
Those "boot-ya-in-the-tail" shifts get tiresome driving around town.

Thanks for the reply guys. The reason I asked was that a few people have said not to run the combo, aka burn the chip for the mod. Even Greg said not to alter shift duration with software. I didn't know wether the combo would grenade the tranny or what. I'm running mine now with software doing the changing, and I think I'll go put the VB in
