I see there is alot questions about vender bashing what if it is the truth. Is a true story that mentions a vender considered bashing. Let me point out, this happened to me not a freind. My name is Michael Jarrell and I live in Savannah Ga. I have a 2000 lightning that the motor blew up in. So I started looking for a company who offered a long block with the performance parts in it and ported heads. JDM Engineering was the first company I found that said they everything I wanted. So I gave them close $4800.00 for a long block with manley rods and pistons and ported heads. Six months later and at least 20 phone calls later i received a short block so I called and asked were are the heads, they're coming he said. Four months later after repeatedly calling and being lied to I sent the short block back and asked for my money back. It has been 18 months since I sent the money and guess what still no refund. I'm just writing this to let people know how JDM conducted business with me if only someone would have warned me. I am now being forced to get a lawyer just to get my money back and my truck is still sitting. I also tried to resolve this problem with them on many oppertunities.

Since there are two sides to every story, I hope that Jim@JDM can share some information about this customer that would be in the public interest. Since this user claims to have provided his real name and location then JDM should be able to clarify. Please refrain from "piling on" or this thread will be deleted as per our rules.

Well I might as well get my free post in here too.

I was told about this post and went back to the shop to look for any information on your name.
I came up with nothing .


I guess you waited 18 months to make you first post.
I would generally tell you to call me at the shop, but sense this is fabucated the best thing to do is have your lawyer call me.

The price of our short blocks is 4695.00 with no core.
The price of our long blocks with ported heads and SS valves is 6695.00 with no core.

You should get your pricing right becasue there is no way I would send out a short block with ported heads and cams for 4800.00 dollars.

Now is the time for the customer and the vendor to work this out between themselves, be it by phone or through lawyers.
